Okinawa International Exchange Foundation was established in 1981 (Showa 56) and dissolved in 2000 (Heisei 12), later converted to Okinawa Human Resources Development Foundation and finally became Okinawa International Exchange and Human Resources Development Foundation.

Utilizing the geographical and historical characteristics of the prefecture, we promote interaction with other countries and to form a base for international exchange and cooperation suitable for Okinawa to carry out various projects in cooperation with the prefecture and other related organizations.

The International Exchange Division will take over a part of the business of the former Okinawa International Exchange Foundation, and through new efforts, people living in the area will cross the barriers of language and nationality hand in hand and understand each other as we are aiming to train Internationally rich and qualified human resources to contribute to the realization of a multicultural symbiosis society and development of education, culture and industry.
