Disaster prevention handbook for foreigners

We have created a ``Disaster Prevention Handbook'' that summarizes how to prepare for disasters and what to do when they occur.

Japan is a place in the world that experiences the most natural disasters. Extremely strong rain, wind, and earthquakes have caused significant damage. This handbook contains important information to protect you and your loved ones from disasters.

In particular, be sure to know about the three disasters (wind and flood damage, earthquakes, and tsunamis) and how to respond to them, so that you can prepare and take action accordingly.

This booklet will help you improve your self-help and mutual help skills by providing daily preparations at home and in the community, countermeasures to take in the event of an earthquake, fire, wind and flood damage, points to keep in mind when evacuating, and information on evacuation. It contains a wide range of information, including a list of facilities and how to obtain various disaster prevention information provided by the city. Please use this guide when discussing disaster prevention with your family and local community.
